Fume Exhausting/Control
Â
Fume Exhaust involves the removal of unwanted fumes from an area or manufacturing process. Vehicle fume exhaust for fire stations and automotive repair centers extract fumes to keep personnel safe. Model AF and QBCS fans are used for this purpose. Laboratory fume exhaust involves removing toxic chemical fumes from laboratories. Model SMB blowers are used for this purpose.
Fume Control involves the removal or redistribution of unwanted fumes from an area or manufacturing process. AFC offers a wide variety of fans for this application. If the air stream is corrosive, AFC offers special material alloys and coating to provide extended service life.
Process Ovens with oil or gas burners are normally under positive pressure. An exhaust fan is utilized to keep the fumes and/or smoke from contaminating the surrounding area. AFC offers backward inclined, and radial blade fans for this application.
Paint Spray Booths require the removal of paint fumes. The process provides for a cleaner worker environment and to comply with EPA regulations. V-belt drive axial fans are often preferred for this application because they offer the most compact solution and allow for straight in and out duct work.
Oil Mist emissions are the result of machining operations in manufacturing plants. The fans used for this application are often required to be of spark-resistant construction and with self-cleaning blade design. AFC offers special alloys and coatings for this application.
