Grain Drying

Agriculture industry fans tend to be of axial type for the ventilation of livestock buildings and through the provision of fresh air and the removal of harmful contaminated air, are used primarily to maintain the livelyhood of pigs and poultry.

Grain dryers use various types of fan designs to remove moisture from agricultural products. Light Centrifugal Fans are common, mostly of a double inlet type in a non-welded execution, or two-stage axial flow fans are also used. The process may involve raw grain or spent by-products that are being recycled. A variation of this is grain fumigation, whereby fans are used to circulate air with desiccants through the grain to prevent product spoilage.
